You may be wondering, what happens after I book? Take a look at some frequently asked questions below.

Where will my session take place?

For family sessions, I have a lot of areas in and around Atlanta that I love to shoot.  Outdoors in a park, in a town square, on a trail, or in your yard or home. If you have a specific location in mind, let me know! If you’re unsure, I will recommend some of my favorite spots based on the time and weather.

Newborn sessions are held at your house.  These sessions are best held around mid-morning when baby is well feed and generally happiest.

What should I wear?

I alway tell clients where clothes that make you feel awesome and confident.

  • Go for comfortable, loose, flowy, natural fabrics (linen, cotton) that will move with you

  • Avoid too much matchy-matchy.  Your outfits should complement each other but not blend together.

  • Think about earthy natural colors 

  • Avoid large prints, patterns and any large graphics or logos

What to expect during my shoot?

I will make sure to capture any specific photos we discuss in the pre-session consultation, but every shoot is unique and has no set structure. Be relaxed and we will embrace what comes:  wind, rain, laughter, kids running around and not listening, dogs barking, whatever unfolds.  Enjoy yourself and I'll capture the magic that happens!  Some of the best shoots have unexpected twists.

For the little ones, bring along some non-messy snacks like Puffs or Smarties for times when I give the kids a little break — or a bribe :)   Bring a favorite toy, lovey, book, sports gear or anything special to your kiddo.

After booking your session, I will send a follow up email confirming the appointment.

I'll be in touch a few days prior to our session to confirm the location, meeting time and discuss the weather.  I'll answer any last minute questions you might have.
